CLEAN UP DAY AT PUBLIC WORKS

SATURDAY SEPT. 20th   8:00 am- 2:00 pm

ACCEPTING: PAINTS, MOTOR OIL, TIRES, RECYCLABLES, LARGE TRASH, T.V.’S, ELECTRONICS AND CAR BATTERIES.  WE DO NOT ACCEPT CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, CONCRETE OR BRICKS. RESIDENTS ONLY. I.D. REQUIRED. WE ARE ALSO ACCEPTING YELLOW RECYCLE BUCKETS AT THIS TIME.

Order your free second blue tote now.

Single stream recycling will start September 1, 2014. For updates, visit www.co.burlington.nj.us. or sign up for email alerts via www.co.burlington.nj.us.  At that time all bottles, cans, newspaper and cardboard can be disposed of in the blue cart. If your family fills its blue tote and yellow bucket every collection, you may need an extra blue tote. If you have not already ordered one, call 609-499-1001 or email recycle@co.burlington.nj.us for order information by June 30, 2014. Collections will still be every other week.

Yellow recycling buckets CAN NOT be used for trash, they will not be serviced. You may recycle your bucket at Public Works on SATURDAY SEPT. 20th between 8:00 and 2:00. Or you may use our drop off at 1601 Union Landing Rd. available 24 hrs.  until Oct. 1, 2014.

Starting September 1st you can also recycle polyproplene food containers #5. Common #5 containers include yogurt cups, sour cream, baby wipe boxes and take-out food containers. Please click on the link to see recycling guidelines.                                     Single Stream Guidelines_001

recycle-strip GOODWILL INDUSTRIES: Now accepts hardback books (with the exception of encyclopedias) at all of their stores. Contact Juli Lundberg, Public Relations Manager for more information Juli.lundberg@goodwillnj.org

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE:  Pesticides, antifreeze, aerosol cans, gasoline can be taken to the County Resource Recovery Complex Monday thru Friday 7:30 to 4:30 or Saturdays 7:30 to 4:30.

T.V.’s & COMPUTERS: Can be dropped off at Public Works on Wednesdays 7:30 A.M. to 2:30 or the County Resource Recovery Complex – Monday thru Friday from 7:30 to 4:30, or Saturday 7:30 to 1:30.. No cannibalized units will be accept at Public Works.

REPLACEMENT CONTAINERS:  Blue carts $75.00

Tire Disposal: Auto without rim $3.50, Auto with rim $4.25, Light truck without rim $9.00 per tire, Light truck tire with rim $10.00 per tire.

BLUE CARTS: Carts are Township property. If you move, you must leave the cart behind. Tracking is done by the serial number registered to your address
