Parks and Recreation

Cinnaminson Township offers a variety of passive and active recreational opportunities through its municipal properties. These facilities include baseball, softball, and soccer fields, football, field hockey, and lacrosse practice fields, tennis and basketball courts, walking trails, playgrounds and a host of other opportunities for recreation. The current total acreage of municipally-owned property in Cinnaminson is 127.43 acres. Of that amount, 22.47 acres is undeveloped, while 104.96 acres are developed as active parkland.

Cinnaminson Township has two primary (anchor) parks at Memorial and Wood Park(s) and five community-style pocket parks at: Garfield, Fountain, Ravenswood, Extension, and East Riverton Park(s).

Memorial Park: is our largest park at 68.52 acres and features multiple activities. It is located on the corners of Lenola and Fork Landing Roads. It has a brand new concession and bathroom building, eight baseball fields (two lighted), two large sized soccer lighted fields, a bocce court, a hockey rink, an exercise/sledding hill, a .75 mile walking path, a natural lake/pond, and a brand new children’s play area.

Wood Park: Our second largest park is Wood Park at 20.38 acres and features multiple activities. Located directly in the center of Cinnaminson at the corners of Pomona and Riverton Roads, Wood Park is considered to many as Cinnaminson’s Main Street/Town Center. It has a brand new concession and bathroom building, six softball fields (one lighted), a large size multi-purpose lighted field, five tennis courts with one practice wall court, two lighted basketball courts, a gazebo, and a large children’s play area. Wood Park is the home of our Summer Concerts, Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Cinnaminson Appreciation Day, and many other community and sports activities.


Garfield Park: a smaller community/pocket park located on Garfield Ave, this park is 3.92 acres. Garfield Park features a newer children’s play area, two basketball courts, a tennis court, and a large open field for various purposes.

Fountain Farms Park: a smaller community/pocket park located on Willow Drive, this park is 3.92 acres. Fountain Farms Park features a newer children’s play area, two basketball courts, and a lighted field primarily used by Cinnaminson Youth Football.

Ravenswood Park: a smaller community/pocket park located on Chestnut Hill Drive, this park is 3.49 acres. Ravenswood Park features a childrens play area, two basketball courts and two tennis courts.

Extension Park: a smaller community/pocket park located between Lejune and Cuthbert Roads, this park is 1.76 acres. Extension Park features a newer children’s play area, one basketball court, a community garden, and a large open field for various purposes.

East Riverton Park: a smaller community/pocket park located on Rowland Street in the East Riverton Section of Cinnaminson, this park is 8.78 acres. East Riverton Park features a childrens play area, two basketball courts, and an open field for various purposes.

Cinnaminson Township Recreation Programs

Cinnaminson Township hosts a wide variety of recreational programs for our residents coordinated though our Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee and our Parks & Recreation Director. All of our Recreation Programs are advertised on our township webpage “News and Announcements Section” as well as on the “Cinnaminson Township, New Jersey” Facebook page. These activities fall under the direction of our Parks, Recreation, Wellness, and Senior Services Director.

Here is a list of the Recreation and Wellness Activities we currently coordinate:

2019  Tennis Program

The Cinnaminson Township Parks & Recreation Tennis Lessons for Cinnaminson residents will start Tuesday, July 9th at the Wood Park Tennis Courts located on Branch Pike.

The program will offer instruction by Ike Johnson who has been providing this instructional program in Cinnaminson since 1998. He will be accompanied by several other instructors who will provide the basics of the game of tennis.

The program will be held at the Wood Park tennis courts on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, 9am to noon, for five weeks starting 7/9/2019* and concluding 8/8/2019.

*7/8/19 – Lessons for 7/9/19 have been cancelled. Tennis lessons will begin 7/11/19.

*7/23/19 – Lessons for 7/23/19 are cancelled due to the courts being too wet.

Programs and fee schedule:

9am to 10am –   5 to 9 year olds, free
10am to 11am – 10 to 14 year olds, free
11am to 12pm – 15 year olds, High School payers or adults, $35 made payable to Cinnaminson Township.

Cinnaminson Summer Concerts: Summer concerts are held on Thursday nights throughout the summer months at Wood Park near the gazebo.


7/11/19 – Attention Residents: Tonight’s concert featuring “Jake’s Rockin’ Country Band” has been cancelled due to forecasted inclement weather. The performance will be rescheduled on a Thursday night in August. Additional scheduling information will be available soon.

Cinnaminson Parks & Recreation is proud to announce our summer concert series for 2019. Our first summer concert is Thursday, June 27th and features The Ever After Band. There will be three Summer Concerts this year at Wood Park starting at 7 pm. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets and your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.

Movie Night: Our movie night is a special event where we show movies during the summer at Wood Park on a giant 32’ inflatable movie screen.

All movies start at sundown.





Cinnaminson 9-11 Ceremony: Our annual event honoring the remembrance of the terrorist attacks on the United States of America that happened on September 11, 2001.
Cinnaminson Appreciation Day: Our annual township celebration held at Wood Park featuring various businesses, township organizations & services, and township programs.
Cinnaminson Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: Our annual Christmas event held at Wood Park to kick off the holidays.

Wellness and Senior Citizens

In addition to the above, we also provide the following Senior Citizen recreation and wellness activities:
The following programs are available at the Community Center:

  • Senior Citizens Expo: an event coordinated by the Burlington County Freeholders.
  • Duplicate Bridge: every Mon. & Fri. afternoon from 12:30 PM
  • Low-Key Exercise & Line Dancing: every Tue.& Thurs. at 10:00 am.
  • Project Senior: Every Tuesday from 12:30 pm for socializing, card playing and social bingo.
  • Pinochle Club: 1st and 4th Tuesday starting at 7:00 PM.
  • Cinnaminson Bocce League: Men’s and Woman’s leagues at Memorial Park.
